Deposit: Reference to record 010: hematite is a deleterious mineral reference to record 050: area had been invesigated by u.s. G survey and bureau of mines staff for its mineral potential early 1940s. Reference to record 070: cassiterite found As small, irregul stringers in fractures of kaolinized rhyolite porphyry. Cassiterite also found As placer deposit adjacent to and b mineralized zone in taylor creek gravel beds reference to record 080: dimensions of deposit in this recor (deposit characteristics pertain to altered zone which co many small, but widely dispersed cassiterite stringers. Cassiterite stringers although they are high grade are too S and too dispersed to be considered As an economic resourse gravel deposits containing cassiterite are of limited extent.
