A Baryte-Fluorspar-Mn occurrence/group of claims with underground workings located in sec. 17, T15S, R2E, 5 miles SW of the Quijotoa Trading Post.

Mineralization is disseminated, irregular. Limestone is a fault block within the andesite. The ore body is 76.2 meters long, 21.34 meters wide and 18.29 meters thick.

Two deposits are described: within a limestone block the baryte occurs as disseminations and veinlets along fractures (100 feet X 60 feet X 70 feet); within the andesite, to the north of the limestone, baryte occurs in irregular, discontinuous, parallel veins 2 feet wide, 250 feet long. Mineralization is largely in fault contact between limestone and andesite.

Assay within limestone (east side) is 60.6% BaSO4, 2.6% CaF2, 24.3% CaCO3. This is higher grade than the minable ore would be. Assay in the andesite is 69% BaSO4, 0.2% CaF2, and 7.4% CaCO3.

Local structures include limestone faulted into andesite on 3 sides, east contact strikes N-S, and dips 75W, south contact strikes N60W, and the west contact strikes N20E.
