Structure: Northwest Trending Fault
Deposit: Vein, vault zone. Ore consists of silver and lead sulphides in a quartz gangue which occurs As cavity fillings and minor replacements in small pockets, veins, stringers and lenses, all subparallel to a fault work on the property began in 1954 by the diamond jim mining co. Of salt lake city. An open cut was made along a fault w/ore being intersected at about 75 ft. A sketch map of the area was done by w. W. Charles in 1920 and is on file in the mining district files, n. B. Of m. Listed As an active open pit mine employing 2 persons in 1980. ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Development: The property was first worked in 1954 by the diamond jim mining co. Of salt lake city. It was listed in 1980 As an active open pit gold-silver mine employing 2 persons
Geology: The ore consists of silver & lead sulphides in a quartz gangue which occurs As cavity fillings and minor replacements in small pockets, veins, stringers, and lenses in a zone 9 ft. Thick. The vein is subparallel to a fault between phyllite along the hanging wall, and the prospect mtn. Quartzite which forms the footwall.
