A former surface and underground Au-Cu-Ag mine located in the SE¼ sec. 8, T.8N., R.2W. (Copperopolis 7.5 minute topo map), at an altitude of 3,200 feet. Produced 1931-1937. Claims extend into the E½W½SE¼ and the SE¼NE¼ of sec. 8, the S½W¼ and SW¼ of sec. 9; and the NW¼NW¼ of sec. 16, and the NE¼NE¼ of sec. 17. NOTE: Alternate coordinates provided: 340469N, 112.4803W.

Mineralization is a Post-Tertiary Au-Cu vein deposit in schist. The vein is a few feet wide with a NW strike and SW dip. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation at near surface. Alteration was minor Fe-staining.

Area structures include veins that parallel low-angle (less than 40 degrees) faults which trend NW. Foliation in local Precambrian schist trends N20E to N50E. Tertiary volcanics dip NE and strike NW.

Workings include a shaft a few hundred feet deep.
