Sasso delle Macine or Sasso Verde della Mantesca is a serpentinite-rich outcrop, quarried in the past, located to the northeast of Sasso della Mantesca. The serpentinite variety locally known as "ranocchiaia" looks massive, with opaque magnetite which gives rise to oriented lineations embedding yellowish lizardite eyes.
