The molybdenite bearing zone is about 150m long and ca 8m wide. Molybdenite occurs in quartz veins and dissiminated in gneiss. The mines were worked on a lens-shaped zone enriched in quartz and molybdenite.
Gursli Molybdæn Co A/S mined here 1915-1919, and a total of 27.000 tons molybdenite was produced. The mining area consist of several mines, but this one was by far the most productive.
