A small bay on the eastern side of the Isle of Bute.
The Isle of Bute north of the Highland Boundary Fault (e.g., northern part of Rothesay Bay) is characterized by metamorphic rocks, such as slate, phyllite, and mica schist. The predominant rocks south of the Highland Boundary Fault are sedimentary.
