An asbestos prospect located in sec. 20, T4½N, R18E, on the West slope of a hill, about 1 mile due E of Seneca.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a linear ore body. The ore zone is 121.92 meters long and 0.3 meters thick. An outcrop of Mescal Limestone - A segment of Precambrian Mescal Limestone, about 20 to 30 feet thick, is underlain by a thick diabase sill and is overlain by pebbly, cross-bedded Cambrian Troy Quartzite. The hill is capped, in part, by Tertiary basalt flows. Mineralization is a 1 foot asbestos-bearing serpentine band which occurs 1½ to 3 feet above the diabase-limestone contact.
Workings include three short adits and a cut.
Assay data: The average aggregate amount of fiber in the workings is ½ to ¾ inch.
