Barranco de Valdechurlinos


Long ravine that reaches from the Sanctuary of Rodanas to the vicinity of Épila. In its head zone and in the proximity of the Sanctuary, outcrop sandstones from the Buntsandstein (Lower Triassic), mineralized with copper, which have been exploited in the 20th century. In addition, in some places outcrop spilitized alkaline basalts with interesting vacuoles filled with chalcedony and jasper.

Largo barranco que llega desde el Santuario de Rodanas hasta las proximidades de Épila. En su zona de cabecera y en la proximidad al Santuario afloran areniscas del Buntsandstein (Triásico inferior), mineralizadas con cobre, que han sido explotadas en el siglo XX. Además, en algunos lugares, afloran basaltos alcalinos espilitizados con interesantes vacuolas rellenas de calcedonia y jaspe.
