The Pennavaire quarry site consists of an open-cast quarry intended for the extraction of limestone (Rocca Liverna limestone), it's located on the southern border of the municipal territory of Castelbianco. Access to the quarry takes place via a dirt track that crosses the Pennavaire stream with a ford, starting from the provincial road.
This abandoned quarry is of no mineralogical interest and at most there are opaque calcite crystals.
