Diamondfield Nevada. Discovered late in 1903 by (Diamond) Jack Davis, Davis found free Gold in Quartz on McMahon Ridge, when claims were staked, a small rush followed. In 1905, the Diamondfield Daisy Mine was the best producer, some rich high grade ore was discovered but soon the layer out as the ore bodies proved to be shallow. By the end of 1907, the town of 300 residents in 1906, plummeted to about 10. Today, only rock ruins and some mine dumps are all that is left of Diamondfield.
