Inactive basalt quarry, exploited by Tecnovia, licensed on 26-02-2003 (No. 5506 DRE-IVT).
This basalt occurrence is situated in a vast karst aquifer system in the center of the country, known as the "Maciço Calcário Estremenho". The quarry features beautiful and well-preserved prismatic disjunctions both outside and inside.
