Deposit: Carnotite occurs between grains and disseminated along bedding and fractures in sedimentary rocks. The uranium mineralization occurs along the margin of a perlitic rhyolite intrusive in the sedimentary rocks. Some radioactivity was also noted in the basalt overlying the sedimentary rock highest radioactive readings in the pit were 0.6 mr/hr with a background of 0.03 to 0.05 mr/hr ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Geology: The sediments overlie granite, and lie beneath a basalt flow, and are intruded by a small, perlitic rhyolite neck.
