The locality is located on the north Pismire Knoll. The locality is on the opposite side of a wash from Maynard’s claim. In outcrops of rhyolite, topaz, hematite, pseudobrookite, and various other minerals can be found. Thorite occurs rarely, and is most commonly found with hematite and pseudobrookite.
