A former Ag-Au occurrence/mine located in the NE¼ sec. 9, T20N, R15W, G&SRM, 1.7 km (1.0 mile) N of Dean Peak (coordinates of record), on land of mixed ownership. The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a 6 foot (2 meter) wide vein of high-grade sulfide ore. Local rocks include Middle Proterozoic granitic rocks.
Workings include underground openings. Workings in 1881 included a 180 foot deep shaft plus 600 feet of tunnels.
