A former small surface and underground Au-Ag-Pb-Cu-V mine located in West-central sec. 13 & East-central sec. 14, T.15S., R.2E. (protracted) (Quijotoa Mts 15 minute topo map), 3 miles SW of Quijatoa Trading Post. First produced 1880. Closed 1974. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by Hardsell & Branch; and the Helldorado Gold & Silver Mining Corp.

Mineralization is spotty free gold and silver chlorides, enriched from deeply weathered and oxidized. Minor copper and lead minerals in quartz-calcite-hematite stringers in a fault breccia zone between Laramide intrusive quartz monzonite and Cretaceous volcanics.

Workings include shaft, tunnel, and open cut operations. Worked sporadically since the 1880's with production of some 450 tons of ore averaging about 0.3 oz. Au/T, 1 oz. Ag/T and minor Pb & Cu.
