A former surface and underground Ag-Cu-Au-U mine located in the NW¼NE¼NE¼ sec. 12, T.14S., R.2E. (Quijotoa Mts 15 minute topo map). Owned by Childs; Calloway; and the H.M. Mining Co.
Mineralization is disseminations and fracture fillings of copper carbonates with hematite and limonite in shattered siliceous Laramide rhyolite.
Workings include shaft and open cut operations. Produced some 1,900 tons of ore averaging about 1% Cu and 5 oz. Ag/T in the 1950's. Sold as smelter flux.
