A former small surface and underground Mn mine group located in the NW ¼ sec. 7, T.11S., R.3E. & the NE ¼ sec. 12, T.11S., R.2E., in the Cimarron Mountains, 12 miles NNW of Gu Achi. Closed 1955. Owned by Pettijohn & Kennedy.
Mineralization is an ore body that is irregular within the fault zone and consists of soft manganese oxides with irregular segregations of psilomelane and stringers and blebs of calcite along a brecciated fault zone in Laramide quartz diorite with replacement around the breccia. Also a vein-like occurrence along an intrusive andesite porphyry contact. Ore body strikes N40W and dips 65SW.
Workings include open cut and adit workings to 27.43 meters deep. About 40 long tons of low-grade, sorted manganese ore were shipped in 1955.
