Deposit: Deposits occur in veins and shoots within fault and fracture zones, or in beds and pockets along gently folded bedding planes. Most important ore bodies occur belo W an impermeable shale or at fault-fracture intersections. 4 patented claims covering 65.053 acres and 15 unpatented claims covering about 295 acres.

Geology: For general geology see hermosa district. Additional host rock formations include penn. Magdalena group, miss. Kelly formation, miss. Lake valley formation, dev. Onate formation, ord. Valmont formation and ord. Montoya formation.
