Structure: Gentle Westward Dip About 15 Ft/Mile
Tectonics: Interior Basin; Deltaic Red Bed Margin
Deposit: Fay (april 1973) is first reference. Supposedly, native copper occurred in thin sheets in the red-brown shale. I could not find specimens.
Development: Although one shaft was supposed to have been dug 100 ft deep, it looks like some other surface pits were dug.
Geology: The copper would be about 240-340 ft belo W top of flowerpot. Morton (1980) and fay (1965, p. 179-182, measured sec. 16) give geology. The flowerpot shale is about 376 ft thick in this area.; hr.age.mv: guadalupian
