Structure: Gentle Westward Dip, Less Than 30 Ft/Mile
Tectonics: Interior Basin; Deltaic Red Bed Margin
Commodity: Copper may be sporadic
Deposit: The crisfield is very permeable, and possibly it is a conduit for descending copper solutions. Dott and merritt (1940) give information. Reiter (1921, p. 67) gives early information.
Development: This was actively being dug in 1921 for copper.
Geology: The crisfield sandstone is about 70 ft below base of bison formation and is several feet thick. It is greenish gray and contains much siltstone. Bingham and bergman (1980) give geology of area.
