A former small surface W mine located in central border area of secs. 29 & 30, T.17S., R.7E. (protracted), about ¾ miles SE of San Juan Spring. Discovered in 1954 and owned by Vance J. Brown.

Mineralization is spotty scheelite with skarn minerals and stringers of secondary calcite along NW-trending fracture zones in Laramide quartzite cut by numerous narrow aplite dikes.

Workings are open cuts and pits with one bulldozer cut and 4 pits over a distance of 150 feet. Reportedly produced about 50 pounds of 62% tungsten concentrates.
