Deposit: Deposit consists of bedded and irregular-shaped ore bodies lying within a ring-shaped outcrop about 1300 ft. In diameter and 100 ft. Thick. The central core of the deposit is composed of limestone, sandstone, and weakly mineralized breccia. Four patented claims mineral survey numbers 1440, 1441, 1442, and 1443 covering 78.121 acres. Ten unpatented claims mineral survey numbers 1951, 1952, and 1953 covering about 190 acres. Deposit type: Skarn Fe
Development: Exploratory drilling and sampling by the USBM in 1944 and 1947-48 consisted of 179 wagon drill holes totaling 3490 ft., 7 churn-drill holes totaling 2488 ft., 4 test pits totaling 75 ft., and 1096 samples yielding 888 assays and one large metallurgical sample.
