Structure: The Zuni Mtns. Are An Elongate Nw Trending Dome With A Core Of Precambrian Rocks. Ene Trending Faults Near Major North To Nw Trending Faults.
Tectonics: Colorado Plateau
Deposit: Fluorspar occurs in three nearly parallel fissures that trend N 60 E and dip steeply south. The veins are in brecciated faults, several hundred feet apart, in precambrian gneissic granite. Fluorite is dense to medium cubic crystalline and white to pale green or violet where it is found in veins.
