"A deposit of bitumen nearly related to grahamite was located on the south slope of Black Fork Mountain, about 3 miles east of Page, on the Kansas City Southern Railway. This deposit occurs as a vein similar to those in Impson Valley".
Mine coordinates are 1 mile east of Page in NE/4 SE/4 Sec 23 T3N R26E
Initially it was mined as coal, during WWI, it was mined for it's vanadium content.
