Moonen (2016) writes about a small prospect north of the Høvringsvatnet lake, at the Nygårsdsheia.
This was initially a nickel prospect, but grains of pure gold were found in the ore. However, neither the nickel nor the gold turned out to be of economic value. Later reports that pure gold also had been found in ore from the Flåt nickel mine, are most likely due to contamination by pieces of ore from this locality.
The exact location of this prospect is unknown, and the coordinates are therefore for a spot in the middle of the Nygårdsheia.
