Located on the river bank between Rheidol Falls and the Vale of Rheidol Railway. The site consists of a large flat walled structure with 2 semicircular lime kilns built against the steep hillside. There are several ruined buildings on the flood plain of the river including possibly the magazine. The tips are extensively piled up the hillside to the line of the railway. Further workings are shown on maps approximately 200m further upstream. The workings originally extended up the hillside above the railway but this area has been used extensively for timber growth and little apparently remains. The 1888 Ordnance Survey map shows a number of workings on the hilltop but it is not known if these were associated with the mine.
