Vahlhausen (Low German: Vahlsen) is a district of Detmold in the district of Lippe in North Rhine-Westphalia and is located about four kilometers east of the city center. The neighboring Detmold districts are Niederschönhagen, Diestelbruch, Detmold-Nord, Hakedahl, Mosebeck and Remmighausen. The district of Vahlhausen consists of the former communities of Dahlsheide, Vahlhausen, Hohenwart, Vahlhauserhöhe and Neumeiersfeld.
