A former surface and underground Au-Ag-Cu mine located in the NE¼ sec. 26, T10N, R19W, North of the Rio Vista, SW of the Billy Mack Mine, 5 miles NE of Parker, on BLM-administered land. Owned at times, or in part, by Botzum & Associates (C.A. Botzum), Capilano Holdings, Inc., and Williams.
Mineralization is small and pockety gold, with some oxidized copper mineralizaion with quartz, in silicified brecciated wall rock along a thrust fault zone between metamorphosed Paleozoic limestone and Precambrian schistose quartzite. The orebodies are within and above the flinty, chlorite-bearing, micro-brecciated detachment surface. The brecciated zone dips gently eastward. Mineralization is associated with low-angle normal faults. Gash veins and joint planes adjoin the normal faults (NW-trending basin and range faults).
Workings include a shallow shaft and several surface cuts. This mine was worked sporadically from the early 1900's but with only very limited production of rich gold and silver ore and minor copper.
