Prehistoric quarry.
Granite was extracted form the quarry until 1830.
In 1925-1926 an amphitheatre was constructed and was used until 1945 when it was demolished by the Germans in WWII. It was rebuilt in 1957 and used by the scouting movement until 1970 when it was destroyed by fire.
The name "Scout" quarry simply refers to the later use of the quarry.
