A former underground Cu-Ag-Au-Pb-Fluorspar-(Se) mine group located in West-central and the SE¼ sec. 17 and the East-central and center parts of sec. 18, T10N, R13W, GSRM, (Ives Peak 15 minute topo map), 1.1 km (0.7 mile) NNE of Swansea and East of the Arizona-Montana Mines, 4½ miles E of Planet, 25 miles NE of Bouse, on federal wilderness land (Buckskin Mountains Wilderness area). Started in the late 1800's and operated sporadically until 1945. Owned at times, or in part, by Graves; Rogers; Haydon and Farmosano; Quick; El Tigro Mining Co.; El Pluma Mines, Inc.; Townsend Mining Co.; French; Coronation Mining Co.; Boyd and Napel; and, Ore Concentrates, Inc. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

NOTE: Alternate coordinates provided: 34.20833N, 113.63556W; and, 34.2064N, 113.6367W.

Mineralization is copper carbonates and silicates, with local lead carbonate, in fissure veins associated with strong silicification and some epidote, fluorite and selenite, in altered Precambrian schist and gneiss along predominently NW-trending, NE-dipping fault zones. The mineralization is Oligocene in age. Scattered erosional remnants of Paleozoic limestone with intrusive plugs and dikes of Laramide monzonite containing Paleozoic limestone inclusions. The mineralization is associated with low-angle detachment faulting; ore bodies are within and immediately above the micro-brecciated detachment surface; irregular hydrothermal replacement. Local rocks include Jurassic to Cambrian metamorphosed sedimentary rocks and/or Tertiary to Early Proterozoic gneissic rocks.

Regional geologic structures include a regional trend: blanket.

First worked in the late 1880's, and sporadically through 1945. Produced over 500 tons of ore averaging about 3% Cu, 2 oz. Ag/T, 0.5% Pb, and 0.1 oz Au/T.
