A former surface and underground U-Au mine located in the SE ¼ sec. 26, T.18S., R.19E, approximately 14 miles SW of Benson, on National Forest land. Discovered 1950. First produced 1958.
Mineralization is a contact metamorphic deposit with relatively sparse autunite, tyuyamunite, and possibly other secondary uranium minerals along the margin of an andesite dike cutting Precambrian granite.
Workings include an inclined shaft and pits. About 47 tons of low grade uranium ore were produced in 1958-1960.
