A former small surface and underground Mn-Ag mine located in the NW ¼ sec. 23, T20S., R.22E, 2 miles (3.22 km) S of Tombstone, on private land. Produced 1921-1937. Operated at times, or in part, by Piedras de Sol Mining Co. and the Sidewheel Leasing Co.; McCabe; Brown; and, R.S. Buby.

Mineralization is a replacement deposit with short, irregular pod-like bunches, disconnected lenses, and pipe-like masses of argentiferous manganese ore along a roll and associated with fractures in Mississippian Escabrosa Limestone and Naco Limestone. The deposit is in the Ajax Hill Horst, south of the E-W-trending Prompter Fault. Mn-Ag mineralization in the district occurred after the main Fe-Pb-Zn mineralization phase.

Workings include a shaft, adit and surface openings. The main tunnel is approximately 750 feet (ca. 229 m) long, with stopes and crosscuts. A few hundred tons of ore were produced in the 1880s and about 600 to 700 tons were produced during 1921-1923 and 1935-1937.
