A small former surface Pb-Zn-Ag-Cu-Au mine located in the NE ¼ sec. 3, T.18S., R.23E approximately 11 miles NW of Courtland, 1 mile N of China Peak. Operated by Mr. Joe M. Escapule. Also operated by C. Pernell (1940).

Mineralization is partially oxidized lead and zinc ores in folded and faulted Cabrian Abrigo Limestone close to strong thrust fault breccia.

Local structures include many thrusts separating Paleozoic limestones from Precambrian Pinal Schist. District mineralization is associated with the Stronghold Granite intrusive event, Oligocene.

Workings include shallow adit workings. A small tonnage of ore was produced in 1938.
