Viper shaft is located in a wooded area, surrounded by arable land. The drilling of the shaft began in October 1811. It has an oval cross-section, a dolomite stone housing and 43 meters deep. Underneath Heinitz and Reden ditch branches descend underground. The shaft has been used as a ventilation shaft since the 1970s. Blowers mounted in the shaft pumping air into the tourist route of the Historic Silver Mine, where the Angel shaft is a natural exhaust shaft.
