Granátová skála ('Garnet Cliff') is an outcrop of a garnet-bearing migmatite in which garnet grains up to 3 cm occur.
NOTE: Collecting is prohibited due to Natural Monument statute.
Granátová skála is a wedge-shaped rocky outcrop in the central part of the town of Tábor on the right bank of the river Lužnice, in the park below Kotnov, under the walls of Na Parkánech Street, near the Church of St. Philip and St. James. It has been protected since 1940 as a natural monument ev. No. 2500, the administration is performed by the Regional Office of the South Bohemian Region. Antonín Hnízdo, a naturalist from Tábor, initiated the protection.
