An U-Cu-Mo occurrence/claim/mine located in approximate secs. 1 & 12, T39N, R7E, G&SRM, about 4.0 km (2.5 miles) ESE of Marble Canyon (town). This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database. The geographic coordinates presented for this locality are approximate to the center of the boundary between secs. 1 & 12.
Mineralization is an U-Cu-Mo deposit hosted in a Shinarump paleochannel cut into the upper part of the Moenkopi Formation. Ore contains autunite, malachite, ilsemannite and carbon matter.
Workings include surface openings comprised of a rim stripping.
Production was 14 tons of ore @ 0.10% U3O8 (1955).
Analysis test results: 3 samples @ 0.35-0.65% e U3O8; 0.28-0.34% U3O8; and 3.0-5.3% CaCO3.
