An U-V occurrence/mine located in sec. 2, T39N, R6E, G&SRM, 7.5 km (4.7 miles W of Marble Canyon (town) and 7.8 km (4.8 miles) NNE of Cliff Dwellers Lodge. This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database. The geographic coordinates presented are approximate to the center of sec. 2.
Mineralization is an U-V deposit hosted in the Shaley Member of the Chinle Formation and contains U oxides in sandy lenses.
Workings include surface openings comprised of small bulldozer cuts.
Production was 38 tons of ore @ 0.28% U3O8 (1954).
Analysis test results: 1.1% e U3O8; 1.3% U3O8; 0.01% V2O5; 0.22% Cu.
