Section 33 lease


An U occurrence/illegal mine located in the SW¼NW¼ sec. 33, T18N, R23E, G&SRM, 14.8 km (9.2 miles) ESE of Sun Valley and 10.8 km (6.7 miles) SW of Adamana (Apache County). The geographic coordinates presented are for the approximate center of the western boundary of sec. 33.

Goof was an illegal shipment of ore from the Sec. 33 lease property. Shipment came from west side of butte. Legal shipments from Section 33 came from the Et side of another butte in the SE¼SE¼ sec. 33.

Workings include surface openings comprised of a rim stripping.

Production was 8.9 tons of ore @ 0.1% U3O8; 0.13% V2O5 (1956).
