A former U occurrence/claim/prospect located 15.4 km (9.6 miles) S of Red Rock (village), in the Bear Canyon area, on the New Mexico state line, on Tribal Trust land. No information on subsurface mineral rights ownership was found in the EPA/AUM Database. This mine consists of an area of 17,683.9 square meters. The mine was not identified as ever being operational. No other historical information or any additional ownership/lease information was identified in the EPA/AUM database. See White Cone claim (adjacent claim).

Workings include surface openings comprised of 1 rim stripping/pit, just N of the mine site. Estimated volume of mine waste onsite: 835 yard³.

Radiological measurements: A total of 3,618 gamma radiation measurements were collected from the mine site, ranging from 8,451 cpm to 157,543 cpm. Maximum reading was 62,000 cpm at north end of site, immediately north off-site over 100,000 cpm. Background locations average background: #1 = 10,910 cpm; #2 = 12,014 cpm = an average of 11,462 cpm.
