A granite pegmatite quarried for quartz. Located at 380-450 m.a.s.l. on the northen side of the valley Eiterelvdalen.
The farmer Peder Knudsen from Råndalen discovered the locality in 1910. The quarrying started in 1913 with sporadic production of feldspar and later quartz. A larger operation was commenced in 1949 by "Raandalen Kvarts og Feltspat AS" a subsidiary of "Meråker smelteverk" that used the quartz in the production of ferrosilicium in its plant in Trøndelag. The operation was terminated in 1966.
