A former He occurrence/well located in the SW¼NE¼ sec. 1, T17N, R23E, G&SRM, 20.5 km (12.8 miles) ESE of Sun Valley (town) and 8.3 km (5.2 miles) SSW of Adamana (town) (Apache County), on National Forest land. The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 100 meters.
NOTE: The USGS MRDS database includes 2 files with the exact same title "Franklin; Aston & Fair C-1 NMA well." Research into the source reference (Peirce, et al, 1970) revealed that only MRDS file #10210294 applies to that locality. MRDS file #10258944 applies to this locality.
Mineralization is an He deposit hosted in the Shinarump horizon. Local rocks include rocks of the Chinle Formation.
