The outcrop in which Vidal found aerinite "in situ" for the first time was located according to him "in the vicinity of Caserras", and is probably the outcrop located at about 200 meters to the ENE of this locality. The aerinite appeared as veins between 2 and 3 centimeters thick, with blue color of different shades and compact or leafy aspect filling diaclases or forming part of gaps in the Triassic dolerites that have undergone processes of alteration.
