Outcrops of basaltic lava flow and volcanic breccias are located around the sports field and at the beginning of the footpath leading to Rocca Pendice, about 1 km SSE from the centre of Teolo. The small rock cavities can contain analcime, natrolite, and phillipsite crystals.

Outcrops of trachyte, that also forms the famous steep walls of Rocca Pendice (320 m), are found along the footpath leading to its summit. Inside the trachyte cavities two polymorphs of silica are found, i.e. cristobalite, as translucent octahedral crystals, and quartz, as paramorphs after tabular hexagonal tridymite (originally classified as trydimite by vom Rath, 1868).
