This is the area where the tremolite crystals in coarse grained white calcite occur. There is a video posted to YouTube of collecting tremolite at Miners Bay and that is the exact locality I collected my samples from in May 1978. (R.Gunter)
Gordon (2016) provides a road log to this locality.
Easton (1986) provides a geological map of the Miners Bay area and indicates that this Tremolite occurrence is within a reaction zone of Marble Tectonic Breccia within the Denna Lake Structural Complex. He indicates that Tremolite is a common mineral within the metamorphosed carbonate units in the area and large crystals are found in reaction zones between the carbonate cement and siliceous clasts of the tectonic breccia.
