First discovered in 1919 while ploughing fields. The deposit consists of a 1m wide crush zone trending NS in partly serpentinised magnesian marble. Seams of chrysotile asbestos, with maximum length 5cm appear within the shear. Worked via open cut methods.
Records for 1931 show a production figure of 70 tons of material returning a total of 8 tons of commercial ore.
