Gold. A shallow pit between the processing plant and Frasers pit.
The Hyde-Macrae Shear Zone at this point is 100 metres thick, bounded by a Hanging Wall, 10 metres thick, and Footwall shear up to 5 metres thick.
The shears show as dark grey, fine grained micaceous graphitic schist, with local fault altered rocks, particularly near the top of the Hanging Wall shear. Silicification, shearing intensity, brecciacation, and quartz veining are all highly variable. The zone contains a network of anatomising shears up to 15 metres thick, with no set dip or trends. There are zones of sheeted veins, the individual veins within this discontinuous, but with a steep north dip, and striking north-east. The quartz is massive milky white, to finely laminated milky quartz, and dark grey quartz, with rare scheelite.
Economic ore was mined out by 2001, and the pit was developed as a tailings impoundment.
As of the 31st December 2009, the measured resource was 0.52 Mt at 0.90 g/t Au, and indicated resource at 2.90 Mt at 0.85 g/t Au (0.5 g/t Au cut-off).
