Gold. A small satellite pit, one kilometre north-west of the Frasers pit and processing plant.
As of 31st December 2009 the measured resource was 0.23 Mt at 1.67 g/t Au, inferred resource of 0.32 Mt at 1.0 g/t Au for 0.01 Moz Au (0.5 g/t Au cut-off).
Mineralisation is found in a 50-60 metre thick pelite between Hanging Wall and Footwall shears. The Hanging Wall dips 15-20 degrees east, beneath which are three sub-parallel under 3 metre thick discontinuous shears. The southern part of the deposit shows the Hanging Wall rotated to the south to south-east, cut by a north-east to south-west fault. The western portion of the Hanging Wall dips 20-25 degrees south-east, and the eastern section 35-40 degrees south-west. Further the Hanging Wall shear is off-set by a north-south fault.
A complex fault zone separates the northern and southern sections of the deposit. Four east-west trending faults terminate against the north-east to south-west fault mentioned above, causing the Hanging Wall to be uplifted and off-set to the west. Gold is found in the Hanging Wall shear, east dipping concordant lodes, and stockwork.
Historically three lodes were mined at the location from the 1880's, called Maritana, Golden Bell, and Deepdell. The first two were on the Hanging Wall pelite-psammite contact, mined for gold, and the Deepdell mine on the Hanging Wall psammite, mined for scheelite.
