Gold. Satellite pit for the Macraes gold mine. Located 2 kilometres north-west of Frasers pit and the processing plant.
On the 31st December 2009 resources were indicated as 1.23 Mt at 1.18 g/t Au, inferred 2.98 Mt at 1.1 g/t Au for 0.11 Moz Au (0.5 g/t Au cut-off) .
Mineralisation is found in pelitic schist, 90 metres thick, between the Hanging Wall and Footwall fault. The Hanging Wall shear dips 15-20 degrees east, with a second less extensive shear immediately below. A north-south sub-vertical fault off-sets both.
Old workings and water races are near the open pit, worked for gold in the 1880's, and 1911-1912.
