Abandoned gold and scheelite mine.
Davidsons Mine is approximately 10 kilometres north of Glenorchy, and several hundred metres east of the Rees Valley Road. It appears to be on private property. Some grassed over tailings remain, on the side of a grassy slope facing the Rees Valley.
Little information was found. Davidson (surname) found some gold in 1915 at the location, but is listed in the source as a scheelite mine. The material was in very crushed schist. Six years before Reid and Lee of the Glenorchy Scheelite Company (Mt Judah Mine) fame, had dug a level at the location but found little.
W. Clarke's claim neighboured Davidson, but only prospecting is noted. Peterson (surname) was driving a level at the site in 1938, but no more information was found.
